Capture that special moment for your invitation or announcement. Photography can be made easy with a few helpful tips from our resident photographer Estelle Zaret of EZ Photography located in Melbourne Beach, Florida.

 

 

1. Get down on the same level as your subject. Hold the camera at the subjects eye level to capture a personal feel.

 

2. Use a plain background and solid colored clothing for less distractions.  Avoid shooting pictures in front of poles and trees so do not look like they are coming out of heads.

 

 

3. Use your flash outdoors to prevent shadows on the face and to brighten your subject being sure to stay within range of the flash.

 

4. Come close and fill the frame with your subject to show off details of your subject and to eliminate distractions. Your announcement or invitation should have a subject to focus on rather than a bunch of background distractions.

 

 

5. Take both horizontal and vertical pictures not just one or the other.

 

6. Make sure your subject is in focus and not the background.

 

 

 

7. Watch the light! Have the light facing your subject and not in the background.

 

8. Take many pictures of the same pose to ensure that a great photo was taken!
